Dial 112 for India’s integrated emergency response system and ask for an ambulance.
Food and preparation conversations
Dish names and recipes vary. These are prompts for a conversation, not a list of foods that are automatically unsafe.
Dairy, nuts and thickened sauces
Milk, cream, ghee, paneer, cashews, almonds or other ingredients can be used in sauces and desserts. Ask what creates the sauce’s richness or thickness.
Breads, flour and frying
Wheat and other flours may be handled together, and frying oil may be shared. Ask about the flour, fryer and utensils used for the specific order.
Regional language and recipe differences
Hindi is widely understood in many areas but not universal, and recipes vary. Use the app’s destination language as an aid, then seek fluent help when staff cannot confidently confirm the card.
A sample Hindi allergy statement

Build a card with the traveler’s exact allergens before using it.Questions to ask the restaurant
- Can the kitchen check every ingredient, sauce, garnish and cooking oil used in this dish?
- Is the same fryer, grill, pan, knife, board or serving utensil used for my allergen?
- Can my meal be prepared with clean hands, clean utensils and a clean preparation area?
- If the kitchen cannot confirm the ingredients or cross-contact controls, what unopened or simply prepared option is available?
Before you go
- Check which language is most useful in the exact state or city you are visiting.

- Carry prescribed medicine in accordance with clinician and airline guidance.
